This research paper was completed for GEO459, Urban Field Experience, in the fall of 2022. This course involved two weekend trips to Chicago in which we researched urban planning issues as a class and independently.
I was very interested in adaptive reuse and my research was based around Kmart as an example of the ways in which a building can be reused after a big box retailer closes.
